Cold Lamination

Unlike normal hot laminators, Xyron cold lamination machines do not need the use of heat, electricity or battery power to apply laminate. The system applies pressure sensitive adhesive to laminate when the document is passed through the machine’s rollers.

There are numerous advantages of the Xyron cold lamination system compared to normal hot lamination. Here are some of the more important ones:

	It’s faster-no waiting for the machine to warm up first
	It can be used anywhere, indoors or outdoors-since no power is needed
	It’s more versatile - the system can laminate both sides or one side only with adhesive on the reverse. There’s even a cartridge that can laminate one side and magnetise the reverse!
	It’s easier to use - just feed in the document, turn the handle and trim to size
	The laminate is flexible - larger laminated documents can be folded right down to pocket size
	There’s no unpleasant smell or odour - it does not melt solvent or adhesive when laminating
	It’s a risk free way to laminate heat sensitive items, such as precious photographs It can be used to laminate output from a Xerox ColorQube copier.

With hot laminators you waste valuable time just waiting for the machine to warm up to the correct temperature, but there's no waiting when you use one of the Xyron cold lamination machines. Just insert the leaflet, poster banner, sign etc., turn the handle and trim to size. It's that easy!
